Congratulations to the cross country teams for their exciting weekend.  The boys and girls varsity teams ventured out to Utah to run in the Doug Owen Memorial race honoring Coach Ibarra’s high school coach.  The teams shined with the boys winning the race and the girls placing 2nd.  Antonio Dorado led the Condors winning the race and setting a new course record.  Michael Machado was 3rd overall. The girls were led once again by Jovita Trujillo in 2nd.  The trip highlights included a BYU vs. Air Force football game, a ride down the 65 MPH bobsled run at the site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and a visit to the “This is the Place” state historical site.  While the varsity was in Utah the Frosh/Soph and JV runners ran at the Madera Invitational and came away with two team wins in the Frosh/Soph boys and girls division.  Miguel Gallegos ran the best race of his young career to win the race.  Congrats Condors and good luck this Saturday at Stanford!

Woodbridge, Chieftain, and 1st MBL Center Meet!

The highlight had to be Michael Machado and Antonio Dorado running 15:01 and 15:02 at Woodbridge moving them to #2 and #3 all-time at NMC!  Jesus, Miguel and Manuel all ran 16:00 or faster and helped the team to a 77:57 team time good for 2nd all-time at NMC and only a couple of ticks off the 2003 squad that went on to place 4th at state and faster than the 2004 squad that placed 2nd at state!!
